The HOUSTON Modern Executive Desk

This sweeping hi-tech Houston modern executive desk is designed to provide a large frontal face for a modern executive desk. Premium quality real wood veneer throughout with a high-tech eclectic blend of metal and glass. The ergonomically contoured Houston executive desk surrounds you to keep everything within reach, saving you steps in the course of the day. Select cherry wood or walnut veneers (please see finished wood samples below). This modern Houston desk includes desk-top drawer, keyboard shelf, an under-the-desk 3-drawer cabinet, inlaid composite writing pad and hidden cable holes. The integrated side meeting table is attached and can be used for small meetings or as a work table.

The sweeping return of the desk intersects with an optional Houston bookcase extension with 2 levels of glass shelves above and a drawer cabinet below, all intersecting the 5 shelf bookcase. The optional extension also includes two cabinets, each with a box drawer and a hanging file drawer.

Also included with the Houston modern executive desk are 3 built-in under-the-counter drawer cabinets. One cabinet is a 2-drawer cabinet, another is a computer cabinet with holes for cables and venting, and the 3rd is a cabinet to hold a computer printer with a slide-out shelf.

Desk Size: The Houston modern executive desk with extension is 10' across and 29.5" high - the Houston bookcase extension is approximately 6 ft high. Select the desk return on the right or left side with the table on the other side.

DESKTOP COMPUTER PLUG & PLAY: Included with this optional computer connection desk sub-panel are the following connectors and corresponding cables.
1 - DVI and 1 - VGA monitor connectors and two monitor cables
1 - Duplex A/C power (dual outlet sockets) and power cable
3 - USB-a connectors and cable for mouse, keyboard, camera, thumb drives, etc.
1 - Telephone connector and cable
1 - Data network connector (Cat 5) and cable
1 - Printer connector (USB-b) and cable
1 - Stereo socket and cable for speakers, mic

FLIP-DOWN KEYBOARD DRAWERS: one of jazzyexpo’s innovative design concepts is our  flip-down drawer fronts on the keyboard drawers under the desktop. If the user prefers to use the drawer for his computer keyboard and mouse, he can flip down the front of the drawer to create a comfortable palm-rest for easy use of the keyboard and mouse. For extended use as keyboard drawer, the drawer may be closed with the palm-rest in the down position. If the user prefers to use the drawer as a pencil or document drawer, the user keeps the drawer front in the up position. This flip down keyboard drawer is available only in the Supreme desk models with the computer connector panel option.

WIRE GROMMET HOLES IN THE SUPREME MODELS:  jazzyexpo desk models that are equipped with the computer connector panel option, have our artistic designer wire grommet hole and cover installed on the Return desktop and the Main desktop to provide direct access into the computer and printer cabinets below. This allows you to install one or more video monitors or other equipment directly on the Return top or on the Return side of the Main desktop without having wires running on or around the desk.

CONCEALED SOFT CLOSING DRAWER SLIDING HARDWARE: jazzyexpo uses state-of-the-are drawer hardware so that any of the box drawers and hanging files drawers on a desk drawers may be opened without the unsightly look of exposed hardware on the sides of the drawers. Our drawer systems use concealed hardware mounted below the drawer to suspend the drawers. Our drawer hardware also allows the drawers to be pushed closed without slamming shut. Our drawer hardware includes springs and pneumatic devices that are activated within the final 2 inches of closure to slow the drawer down and then softly close the drawer automatically and quietly. This soft closing drawer hardware system has handles mounted below the drawers to allow the drawers to be easily removed and replaced for cleaning or to reach items that may have fallen behind the drawers. Thumbwheel adjusters are also provided under the drawers to easily level them when they become heavily loaded.
